Randy Stein Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Attached is the tune I Will Wait For You by Michel LeGrand from the movie The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. It was on TV the other night and I forgot how wonderful a song writer Michel is. This piece is actually in 4/4 time but has a waltz feel to it. Something different for the ump-ah set. A work in progress, still flushing out the chording and some odd notes here and other but would appreciate some input. rss

I don't know the B tune at all and it didn't make complete musical 'sense' if you know what I mean; (I listened a couple of times) you might look at that? Loved the ending.
m3838 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Russian renditions (the song was immensely popular in the USSR) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4Efsium9cE&feature=related (little funky, to my taste)
Chris Drinkwater Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Nice, Randy. You've got the essence of the melody, from my memory of the tune. I look forward to listening to version 2. Chris
