I am also new here...I am wanting to learn to play a concertina, but do not own one yet...I am not even sure what kind I should be shopping for? My musical tastes are pretty wide: I especially love traditional international folk music (as well as bluegrass & cajun...) but I'd be thrilled to at least dig into Irish or Scottish... As a non-musician, this will be an uphill battle that I expect to enjoy, and hopefully will not ask too many dumb questions along the way! (Ha! But I'll try to space them...?)
