Randy Stein Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 My son received a new apple laptop for receiving his Masters of Arts and Sciences with Distinction from University of Edinburgh (not that I'm proud mind you). He was playing with all the various functions and asked to record me playing my Wheatstone. He recorded a few pieces I arranged for the EC but the site is only allowing me download one. The quality is passable and I made a couple of musical bloops here and there but at no time do my fingers leave my hand. rss
Randy Stein Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Nicely played and cleanly recorded. Thanks. I was able to add the other two pieces to the English Concertina website at http://englishconcertina.ning.com/profile/RandyStein rss

I was able to add the other two pieces to the English Concertina website at http://englishconcer...file/RandyStein rss To be frank, I'm not sure about the rhythm you are playing with, but you've got very nice arrangement. Do you mind posting this arrangement? I was looking for one and have a few saved, but they are for piano. Thanks.

Can you check them up? Thanks.
Dirge Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I thought it was really pretty, Randy, very lyrical. ('bloops' aside; I'm glad there are a few others who can't just play pieces through perfectly every time...) I've just been looking at your personal page, and you've had an impressive career, a CV like that must be almost unique these days, I'd have thought.

My son is going to have me rerecord so I am not so rushed and sloppy. I have dozens of songs. I will probably add more at a later date. rss

It was more an experiment to check out his apple than record me. I attached on a whim. As I just replied to someone else, my son is going to have me rerecord and re-post. I really do not have any arrangements written out anymore. I would arrange directly from the sheet music and memorize. Periodically going back and looking at the music to tighten up or add something. rss
Randy Stein Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) I added this one also. rss Sorry. File won't attach...never mind. Edited December 30, 2009 by Randy Stein
