I would have guessed Lachenal, from the style of the "Winrow" and serial number labels, but the seller says it doesn't have the usual Lachenal marks on the handrests. Stephen Chambers Posted November 15, 2009 Share Posted November 15, 2009 Yes, a Lachenal, as have been any other Winrow concertinas that I've seen (the same firm was better known as a major importer of French accordeons/flutinas). It's of a model that Lachenal's generally supplied to dealers, and the long rail (handle) suggests it is an older example. According to my dating formula (based on an average of 2,832.4 Anglos per annum) it may have been made at the end of 1876/beginning of 1877, not long before the Trade Mark was applied for on 31st August 1878.
