snow
I have just bought a small Scholer twenty button concertina at a junk sale. It plays ok but has one button that is very sticky. I took the end off and it seems something is wrong around the long pin that all the levers are on. I am very worried about taking the pin out as it is so thin I don't think I can put it back. Is there a technique? I know this is a pretty cheap little instrument but it would be nice to fix it. Suggestions please. Snow
OldDog
Hi, You shouldn't have to take anything apart. Try working some powdered graphite down around the joint between the lever and the wood block it's attached to. This has worked for me. Regards, Paul N.
