drbones Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 This has probably come up before, but I can’t find it anywhere. I have a 50’s model Wheatstone Anglo. Not the highest end model, but nice. There are no bushings around the buttons and it doesn’t look like there’s enough room around them to add the felt. I have Dave’s Elliott’s repair manual so I don’t need to know how, just if I should. So, the question is: Should I enlarge the holes and install the felt, or is it best to leave it original?
Robin Harrison Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Don't think twice, it's alright. If you are concerned with re-sale value, then bushing will enhance that not reduce it. It is probably true to say that any buyer would value playability over originality in an anglo such as yours ie no historic interest. Regards Robin
