  1. Good day, I am new on here and have a Wheatstone concertina for sale. It was my grandfathers and I cannot play. The serial no is 55804. It was redone around 50 years ago when I was a kid and the book had two extra partitions added for more air volume. There are three screws out on the left and one on the right side... it still sounds great. I am in South Africa. I am looking to get €2500 for it if anyone is interested. I can send more pics should you require additional photos.
  2. Carroll Concertina #278, C/G 30-button. lt is the standard size in all black with a celtic tree endplate design and adjustable handlebars. I am the original owner of this instrument, I had it built towards the end of 2019. No leaks, holes, scratches, or damage of any kind. Occasionally the endplate screws need re-tightening, but when I asked the repair folks at the Button Box they told me it was nothing to worry about and is fairly normal with new instruments. Good volume, bright tone, and fast action, if I played more I would keep her, but I don't and she's too lovely to sit around and collect dust! Asking $5800 $5500 (+shipping), comes with hard case.
  3. I'm selling my Lachenal Edeophone Crane Duet (Triumph) Concertina. Ebony ends, nickle buttons, steel reeds. 55 - keys Serial number 3850 which I think dates it to early 1930s Revalved, re padded and tuned by Mike Acott about 15 years ago and hasn't really been played much since. Has just been sat in cupboard. (I'm an anglo player) Comes with original case which needs strap and clasp repaired. It looks nicer in the flesh than it does in the photos due to reflections. For any more information please text or WhatsApp 07885 265925 PRICE £2500
  4. Hi all, am re-listing this at a lower price to find it a good home. Asking for $6000, which is 1200 less than what I paid for so it can be played rather than sit in its case. Details below: - 31 bone buttons, standard Jeffries layout except that both the push and pull of 2nd button outside row are C#. I would be happy to change this back to standard layout if you like. - D drone - Lovely green gold-tooled bellows, reworked by Greg Jowaisis. Bellows slightly on the stiffer side, but still fast and will loosen up with time. - Hardshell case included - The amazing honky/sweet Jeffries tone but not obnoxious or overpowering (video link of instrument being played is below) Asking $6000, which includes shipping, handling, and insurance to anywhere in the US. Will make the standard 2% donation to concertina.net if it sells. Buyer will be able to return instrument within one week of receiving it if unsatisfied, and will assume all shipping costs. Serious inquiries, please email me at yautt@yahoo.com and thanks in advance! Video link of it being played so you can hear the sound and see it in action -
  5. Reposting this as I am still looking to sell a Jeffries concertina as above. In C/G with 26 keys, making it a lighter instrument. It's also very loud making this an excellent choice for a morris musician. The accidentals are C#/ Eb A/G Ab/Bb on the Left hand and Eb/C# Ab/G C#/Bb on the Right. Assessed by a knowledgeable friend as in good working order. Looking for around £3600 Please see pictures as attached and feel free to ask any more questions, many thanks Jo, Sheffield UK
  6. Early 48 Lachenal or WS. 27188. Raised metal ends, 5 fold bellows. in tune , old pitch. Real time capsule, selling cheap. Contact for photos.
  7. Hello Everyone, After several years of being rarely played, I have made the difficult decision to sell my concertina. I dislike being a quitter, but I play too many other instruments to give this beautiful instrument the time it deserves. I am the original owner of #1082. It was manufactured in the spring of 2013, and has probably been played less than 60 hours since then. Still very much in excellent condition. I hope I'm not being unreasonable looking for $3000 US or approximately $3800 CAD. Original price was $3850 US. I am located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. A 2.5 hour drive from border crossings at Detroit or Buffalo. Anyone is welcome to come play it. http://www.buttonbox.com/morse-beaumont.html- The button box website has excellent sound samples and pictures. I have never posted before, but I have enjoyed the discussions a lot. It was the postings on Concertina.Net that informed me enough to be confident in purchasing this concertina. Sincerely, James Fraser
  8. Second hand Jackie, English concertina, suitable for beginners. 30 buttons. In excellent condition and includes tutor book and soft case. £290.
  9. I am am parting with a couple of rare boxes, one is a 19th century and one 20th century. The early one is in top order and has the reed pans chambered on both sides with the inner baffles. It would suit a singer as the tone is excellent and and even in response and volume. The later one is an Edeophone which can be varied in tone and volume it has a riveted action six fold bellows and a fret pattern I have never seen before. It has 58 keys and on the left end has a low F and F# button. Both are fully restored and in concert pitch. Please see the photos attached. I can send more information or pictures on request - if you're really interested please email me. MikeAcott

  13. Before I put it on ebay I thought I would try here. Rosewood ends. Bone buttons. Recently restored by Roy Whitely of Cheshire and plays beautifully. I have had it around 15 years and am getting rid of it because I have got an almost identical one and don't need 2! £1200 ONO.
  14. I have a C/G Anglo Suttner concertina for sale. It is in excellent condition with 31 keys, 7 bellow folds and ebony ends. Jeffries layout. Please PM for more details. Thanks!
  15. My husband and I are interested in selling his grandfather's MacCann Duet. This C. Wheatstone ebony Aeola has 56 buttons, and ivory thumb rests. Metal rivet tags are also still in great condition. The piece was manufactured in London and was first sold December 22nd, 1922 according to the ledger on this link http://www.horniman.info/DKNSARC/SD01/PAGES/D1P1820S.HTM. The instrument also comes with it's original hard leather case. This instrument is playable out of the box but could use some TLC as some of the reeds seem to stick. Reasonable offers will be considered, but we are hoping around $2500. We are located in Maryland, USA, near Baltimore. I'd be willing to ship to any USA location with insurance. Outside the US would require more research. Thank You! Bryanna

  17. Unique Wheatstone Aeola 48 button Pre-WWI English Concertina in the Key of C Treble range (from G below middle C, to C three octaves above middle C). Falling within the "dear years" and "lost years" period of the Wheatstone company, this Ebony ended concertina has unique fretwork detail, and has a full rich tone. The instrument shows only very minor cosmetic blemishes and is in superior playing condition. The bellows are in excellent shape and all buttons are responsive. Concertina was completely looked over and serviced by the Button Box in 2013. Instrument was part of the collection at Barleycorn Concertinas until 2010, at which time it was imported to the United States. For a demo of the instrument, see the following YouTube video: https://youtu.be/DgymVJ-buSo Available for Skype calls for interested parties. $3600
  18. Greetings, I have a Morse Albion Treble Concertina s/n 383 which I would like to sell. I understand that you folks are upright and honest people so what would it be worth. It cost in excess of £1400 new. Its like new and hardly played as my wife developed Arthritis and finds it painful. Its got a hardcase and a gig bag. Advice is welcome but, a decent offer would be magic. Dave
  19. The instrument pictured here is: Antique Concertina with makers mark on one end: C.Jeffries Maker 38 notes/basses Patterned fillagree metal on both ends with the hand rest and leather. All in good condition. No damage to the internal reeds. In really good condition for its age ... i do not know how to play it personally, but the notes work and it sounds really lovely (I would so love to hear someone play this little beauty properly)... it only shows some wear to the outer edges of the external leather on two corners, probably due to sitting. I am not exactly sure... but I think the key may be C/F (i play many musical instruments, including a piano accordion, but never did learn the concertina) Approx size: 150mm or 6 inches tall when closed completely. Leather case still in good condition Unfortunately the leather hinge attaching the lid to the bottom part of the case has come away ... in fact - it happened since I took the photos (which shows it still joined) ... The lid is still sitting perfectly on top of the case and I do not imagine it would be hard to fix... more photos can be supplied... Lining showing some wear. Approx size 190mm or 7 1/2 inches tall and approx 200mm or 8 inches in diameter or width. Our family owned a music shop in the 1950's in Perth, and this instrument was one of many lovely old instruments that came to us through trade ins etc. We used to keep them on display in the shop and then when my parents retired, the instruments were stored. We have researched this instrument and understand that it is the best and most sought after.. our asking price is £5,000 GBP ( which works out to approx. $8,100 AUD or $6,255 USD) Our location is Perth, Western Australia, and any Postage/Shipping/Insurance costs will have to be calculated and added to the purchase price for the purchaser to pay. Anyone interested can either respond here or you are welcome to email me on artist@anthea-m.com if you prefer. Also - I had so many pictures, and the allowance here was nowhere near big enough... I have done a collage - again, anyone interested only has to ask and I will send the full size pics to their email, no problems at all :-)
  20. in response to my add containing 2 H. Boyd Wheatstone concertinas. please inquire as this email address: joelong342@gmail.com thank you, JL
  21. I'm having to liberate some cash in order to, what else, buy another concertina. So, selling my 30b (plus D drone) Suttner A2 C/G anglo concertina. It's #281 and has recently been cleaned and examined by Greg Jowaisas. Very responsive and a great session instrument. Has a D drone. That's right, D. Otherwise, Jeffries tuning. Listing it here for $4,500 (plus shipping) and will donate $90 to concertina.net upon sale. Comes with case. I live in Southern California, so would prefer to sell to someone in the states. I'm unfamiliar with rules or taxes for shipping abroad, but would consider it. Photos attached here. -Chris Stuart
