I am selling this for an elderly friend who is downsizing. She only used it for song accompaniment, and it is in immaculate condition. This is Frank Edgley's top quality hybrid model with angled reed pans. It's tuned C/G with the 3rd row in the Jeffries layout (C# on both push and pull) so ideal for Irish Trad tunes. It is nicely air tight, and the action is smooth, light and fast. The reeds respond quickly and evenly from low to high, and there is nice balance between the ends. It's a fast and lively player with good dynamic range from soft to loud, and would be excellent for sessions. Barb has small hands, and the straps are trimmed as such. I have a new set coming from Frank, and will include them. The only negative is that it does not come with a hard case, so I have reduced the price accordingly. A soft case is included, and it will be well packed for shipping. $1900 obo plus postage. SOLD- DONATION MADE TO CONCERTINA.NET

I bought this instrument last year hoping my wife or some of the kids might learn it, but none of them did. I have Jeffries for my own playing, so this should go to a home, where will be played. I am looking for £2100 + shipping from Czech republic. It is few years old, but still feels like new to me. Jeffries layout and C/F (pull/push) on left thumb. I discussed this instrument with John Connor himself and from the better end grills and gold tooled bellows this is his Jeffries copy. No need to mention, this one has traditional reeds. Few pictures and video being played here, I can post more or play it for you over Skype if you like. I might consider left-handed keyed flute as a trade-in. https://youtu.be/FRwDiL5HIhg

Today I have taken delivery of my Frank Edgley thirty button anglo concertina which was secondhand. It has a Carroll layout which I notice is identical to the Jeffries layout except for the push on the first button right hand side, top row, is a C# and the Jeffries has a D# there. So I have a C# in both directions on that button I have no less than 3 x C#3s on that row which I think is good for Irish music though I'm not experienced enough to say for sure. I notice though that the Wheatstone layout has 6 different notes (to my layout) on the top right hand side row. Can anyone explain the logic behind these layouts? Many thanks if you can! Les
