  1. The Wood Pigeon is my tune which [very vaguely] uses a similar motif to the Wood pigeon's distinctive 'coo-cooing' voice. You see them in fields, gardens, and 'Woods'[in England] - very rotund, large pigeons with a grey blue plumage, short stumpy legs and fleshty feet, and white collar on their necks, and with round yellow coloured button eyes, with black pupils to the centre. Most people find them annoying as they do tend to form also small social groups or hunting parties to peck at the farmers fields [and are quite piping loud calls as they speak!]. I have two in my garden and hear them every day; so the call of their piping voice got to my ears and so developed the tune [ from an original 3/8 rhythm] I later developed it instead into 3/4 time to make it more a dance than a literal translation of bird 'song'.
