I made a bellows jig by packing an empty milk pack with newspaper. Stainless steel pipe in the center. One side width is 60 mm. It fits perfectly in Stagi / Trinity College /maybe Swan, Lochele Trinity College / Maybe the Swan has the problem of melting gussets over time ... a jig for that. *duplicate post on Facebook

Hello guys, my experience is that I lost 700 euros. I live in Brazil and in July last year (2019) I had a friend traveling through Italy. So I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to buy a 46 Stagi Hayden Duet. My dream is to play brasilian music with that instrument. I researched the Internet and found that Stagi Lorenzo was the owner of the Brunnermusica.com store for over 30 years and that it was the same factory as Bastari. On the website I found an email and a phone number to contact. I chose the email first to keep everything registered. I asked if a Hayden Duet 46 was in stock and if it could be shipped within 20 days to a specific address. They said yes, no problem and sent me a deposit account in the name of "Stagi Lorenzo". Perfect! I made the transfer and waited very satisfied. I made the transfer exactly on my birthday as a gift to myself with money that I spent a lot of time saving. My friend's return date passed and an instrument arrived at the specific address 5 days late. But not a Hayden Duet, a Bastari W15 totally damaged inside, with several notes without sound. Pay attention! I lost money that supports my whole family for a whole month here in Brazil to these serious professionals and concerned about their customers!!! Hello, All. I am truly excited by my chance good luck! Went on my quarterly pilgrimage to the ButtonBox in Massachusetts, USA, to have a look at the new CC “Troubador” Hayden system duet, with an eye towards trading in a nice older Hohner Corona three row box and my now-well-used Elite Hayden. The box and Elise were only worth enough to leave me too-many-hundreds-of-dollars “short” for the deal, and frankly I was about to stick with that part of the musical empire intact. Then Doug said, “have you looked at the Bastari in the corner?” So, for a swap, I am now the proud owner of a genuine, “old fashioned” metal ended, metal buttoned, 46 key Hayden duet. It sounds sweet, plays easily, and compared to the Elise (and the Minstrel and Peacock) has LOTS of buttons I’ll find use for. It just looks and feels so much more like a “concertina” than the new Stagi version (which I can’t disparage, but never was moved to purchase.) Doug and I looked inside, and the workmanship was clean, tight-looking, and very tidy, compared to some low-cost new. I am very psyched, and it will help me break out of the “play the key stamped on the side” box. Questions: Does anyone else (I think David B.? others?) have one? Seems I recall Inventor wrote once that that run was only 30 units; I’d be curious to hear of any others who have them, and to hear any sound from them. Thanks, and regards, David

Hi all, I'd like to start with the concertina. Currently I play the saxophone and harmonica (bluesharp). So I bought a used 48-key English Concertina for 200 Euro at eBay. The seller stated that the brand is Bastari and from my investigation this should be correct. All keys but the highest note on the left side are working on push and pull. The highest note on the left works only one direction. But I found that the concertina is not very airtight. The belly openes to its full length by its own weight within 15 seconds. After some investigation I found that the concertina is loosing air at some point between belly and the wooden end of the concertina. On pic 468 it is shown. Now my question is, do you think it is worth to keep and trying to repair the concertina by myself or should I sell it and seek for a used Jackie or Jack ? BR Peter
