I recently accompanied the telling of the story of a variation on Sanji and the Baker. The setting and characters made it impossible not to base the music on Ketelbey's In a Persian Market, which describes the scene of a Persian Market (no surprise there!) through the day - with the caravan of camels arriving in the morning, the hustle and bustle of the beggars in the market, the beautiful princess passing through, the jugglers and snake charmer, and the Caliph making his entrance. And then the evening comes and everyone leaves and stillness returns. You can find orchestral versions on YouTube etc. I remember playing it years ago with the Butleigh Court Concertina Band. My English Concertina (stagi tenor treble 56 key) lost one of its metal buttons. The lower part broke. Is there any way out there to get a new one? Or is there hope, that the original button can be fixed? I include a picture of the button and a picture of the action I finally managed to open, so you can see, what I need. If everything fails I may use the button of a rarely used note to fill the gap… but of course, I would prefer it to be "really" fixed Any hints? PS: Don't buy this stagi model! Really badly made.

After building and installing a new set of deep-fold bellows for my 1916 Lachenal New Model TT. Here:

I have a nice boxed Gremlin Tenor Treble (Tenor C to C) English Concertina that is not used now that I have my Lachenal New Model Tenor. It plays surprisingly well for a modern budget box and it has a nice tone. It has a few minor knocks, but nothing of any significance. I am looking for around £200 plus postage. I live near Glasgow, and potential buyers are welcome to come and try before purchase.

Initial inspection of the Lachenal TT shows it to be in relatively good cosmetic condition. The keys and bushings needed cleaning and polishing only. The 7-fold bellows appear to be in like-new condition but stiff from lack of use. I replaced the valves for obvious reasons. The instrument had been stored on it's end. I've yet to replace the pads except for a couple that needed immediate attention. It had been re-tuned to A440. I made a new case for it as it arrived without one. It is the one on the right, next to my Lachenal New Model extended treble.
