  1. Like many of you, I suppose, I've been greatly enjoying Cormac Begely's new solo album. I'm wondering if any of you have an idea of how he seems to bend some of his notes. Air flow? Half-pressed buttons? Any insights?
  2. Hi all; Cormac Begley here. My first post on the site for a long time. I hope I'm in the correct area of the site for this. I was advised to post on this site to let you concertina folk all know that I will be releasing my debut album from April 1st in Ireland and that my album available on pre-order from Bandcamp. I have two version of design of the album. One is a limited edition concertina shaped album.   3. Cormac Begley and Jack Talty are teaching a week-long residential concertina course in west-Kerry between from the 6th to 10th of April. Classes will be held under Mount Brandon on the Dingle peninsula and will include four hours of classes per day (2 hours with Jack and myself), evening activities, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snack) and accommodation for 5 nights. Day schedule: 9am: Breakfast 10am - 12 noon: Workshop 1 Break 12.30 - 1.30pm: Lunch 2.00 - 4.00pm: Workshop 2 Break 6pm: Dinner 8/9pm: Evening activity (concerts, sessions, etc) Costs: Accommodation: 20 euros x 5 = 100 euros Food: 30 euros x 5 = 150 euros Workshops: 4 hours x 5 days x 20 euros = 400 euros Activities: 1 hour (minimum) x 4 days x 20 euros = 80 euros Total: 730 euros Our price for the week range from 500-600 euros. The price is 500 euros for those willing to share rooms.
