I seriously played accordion for several years, 45 years ago. I recently took up the ukulele and spend many hours each week learning more. I have had a desire for many years to learn the concertina and spending much time collecting information about my choices. I've started on Lachenal Duet using the MacCann System with 46 buttons and and have now added a new Lachenal Ediophone with 61 buttons. Both were made about a 100 years ago. My plan is is accompany a few songs each time at ukulele group meetings. The concertina and ukuleles seem to have a beneficial cross-over point, e.g. The musical demands of one supplements the musical needs of the other.
I am interested to buy a Lachenal Edeophone with a Maccann layout, real ebony ends and original buttons. If you happen to have one under your bed, please take it out and send me pictures and detailed information. Thank you.
