  1. Message from Leon Girke, landlord of Sportsmans Arms pub, Denbigh Moors: Good afternoon. Feel free to arrive anytime on Thursday 18th April. Park where ever you like, the ground should stay dry if the weather stays as predicted. The pub will open up midday Thursday, and food will be available Thursday evening. We will stay open day and night through to Monday night. You are free to leave whenever you like after then (or before obviously!) As long as the field is empty by the end of day on the Tuesday. I will be leaving the doors to the rear of the pub open for those who are camping to use the loos. Couple of further notices: Please take all your rubbish with you. This is mainly because we are only allowed one rubbish bin and we are unable to make a disposal point as the winds can be very strong up here and rubbish gets blown around everywhere. Dogs on leads at all times. This is very important, as there are lambs everywhere. Even if you know your dog won't eat the lambs! We still have some pregnant ewes that may lose lambs if they get scared! The blue stuff....Not sure what it's called but please can those wanting to dispose of waste please not use the blue stuff. We have a septic tank so the organic stuff only please. We're really looking forward to weekend and catching up with all you guys, we really hope the snow stays away this year, but even in the middle of summer it can get a little nippy up here at night, so don't forget a nice warm jumper! I will open the doors to the pub early each morning so you can warm next to the fire, and for those of you wanting to stay inside Osh will be round selling his bacon and sausage butties. Diolch, Leon, Sam, Osh, Bea & Reuben.
  2. Rich C R I really don't know about attendees from this forum as many on here use nicknames rather than their own. However, there'll be a good number of squeezeologists, including yours truly. Hope you can come.

I believe we collectively surpassed the previous record for number of simultaneous sessions, having 5 indoor & one almost outdoor on Saturday evening! Visit some've the oldest Christian churches in Britain, interesting geological formations, Parys Mountain The camp field overlooks the Irish sea & there's easily accessible clifftop walks. 13. Ahem, erratum - this event's happening 9th November 2013, not 2913!
  14. This year's 'Audlem Bagpipe and Hurdy-Gurdy Day' will be held on Saturday 9th November at 12:00 in 'The Bridge' in Audlem, Cheshire. As with previous years, all musicians and abilities are welcome for an afternoon of drone music. Any prospective players, please come along and have a listen. If you think the hurdy-gurdy or the pipes (of various sorts and sizes) is the instrument for you, come along and talk to like-minded people. There will be at least one player who will allow beginners to have a try, so come and give it a go. This event's not restricted to pipes & gurdies - other insts also welcome, always plenty squeezeboxes there! Geoff Turner, Ian Bloor and John Hardy. 01270- 811446 or ikb at kinseycottages.org.uk
  15. Only one more day to wait before the festivities commence! Mr Happy's advance party should be on the campsite by 3pm ish, ready for songs, tunes & Oh be joyfulls!! Yeeee- hahh! Latest weather & travel updates from squeezeboxer George Garside [resident of Benllech Bay, a few miles away] Anglesey weather. We do not have any lying snow on the island and forecast for thurs. fri, sat is white cloud with sunny intervals anad day temperature around 40F. Night temp around freezing so campers will need warm sleeping bags.. But as the pub is watertight, draughtproof and has heating it should be a good weekend. There is also the added attraction of seeing the snow covered mountains on route! Sunday weather same - white cloud & sunny intervals so no snow forecast! A 5025 from the bridge up to bull bay is always well gritted & from Chris Ryall melodeonist extraordinaire [you've never heard anything like it!] Can add that the coast road is well gritted and that Anglesey itself is pretty flat. There is a small hill up to the hotel itself. With 100 or so likely to come I would hope the management will ensure that is gritted
  16. Was my question too hard or is the solution difficult to explain?
  17. Are there any instructions on how to put events on the calendar?
