  6. Many thanks to one & all for your attendance & adding to the tremendously musical diversity in all the sessions each day & evening. I believe we collectively surpassed the previous record for number of simultaneous sessions, having 5 indoor & one almost outdoor on Saturday evening! Some pics on fb page here https://www.facebook.com/events/186395174900474/229284800611511/?notif_t=event_mall_reply
  7. Only 9 days to go! I spoke with the venue today & they assure that this time the toilet light will be on 24hrs!
  8. Numbers of confirmed attendees over 60 up to now, but plenty room for more as only got 3 concertina-ists among the many squeezeboxers!

Visit some've the oldest Christian churches in Britain, interesting geological formations, Parys Mountain The camp field overlooks the Irish sea & there's easily accessible clifftop walks. Amlwch town is nearby & besides the usual amenities, there's historic Amlwch Port & other places of interest http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amlwch

For non-tenters, there also seems to be a very reasonable family room deal at the hotel with prices by the room not person (from £180 for three nights) and some rooms have 3, 4, 5, and one with 6 beds. Add breakfast per person per day at £5. Tricky to make these come up on the online booking system but give them a ring http://www.bullbayhotel.co.uk/ All welcome - come on down - it'll be brill!! 12. Ahem, erratum - this event's happening 9th November 2013, not 2913!
  13. This year's 'Audlem Bagpipe and Hurdy-Gurdy Day' will be held on Saturday 9th November at 12:00 in 'The Bridge' in Audlem, Cheshire. As with previous years, all musicians and abilities are welcome for an afternoon of drone music. Any prospective players, please come along and have a listen. If you think the hurdy-gurdy or the pipes (of various sorts and sizes) is the instrument for you, come along and talk to like-minded people. There will be at least one player who will allow beginners to have a try, so come and give it a go. This event's not restricted to pipes & gurdies - other insts also welcome, always plenty squeezeboxes there! Geoff Turner, Ian Bloor and John Hardy. 01270- 811446 or ikb at kinseycottages.org.uk
  14. Only one more day to wait before the festivities commence! Mr Happy's advance party should be on the campsite by 3pm ish, ready for songs, tunes & Oh be joyfulls!! Yeeee- hahh! Latest weather & travel updates from squeezeboxer George Garside [resident of Benllech Bay, a few miles away] Anglesey weather. We do not have any lying snow on the island and forecast for thurs. fri, sat is white cloud with sunny intervals anad day temperature around 40F. Night temp around freezing so campers will need warm sleeping bags.. But as the pub is watertight, draughtproof and has heating it should be a good weekend. There is also the added attraction of seeing the snow covered mountains on route! Sunday weather same - white cloud & sunny intervals so no snow forecast! A 5025 from the bridge up to bull bay is always well gritted & from Chris Ryall melodeonist extraordinaire [you've never heard anything like it!] Can add that the coast road is well gritted and that Anglesey itself is pretty flat. There is a small hill up to the hotel itself. With 100 or so likely to come I would hope the management will ensure that is gritted
