malcolm clapp mentions electric type midi concertinas with earphones for playing/practicing without disturbing the neighbours. Anyone have any more info about these? ( Mr Clapp mentions a previous thread but I can't see it.) Thanks.

Hello. I don't actually play the concertina (perhaps one day...) but I do have a question. I do play the guitar, and the action of pressing the strings brings up callouses on the finger tips. (All guitarists have them; they're inevitable.) What I wanted to know is, does pressing the concertina's keys have the same effects? Do you get callouses? I don't have any real reason for this enquiry, it's just that I'm very interested in other people's instruments, what's involved in playing them, and so on. So please satisfy my curiosity!
