  1. Please note that I have a revise price for my Stephanelli Anglo Concertina £90 for the whole package: Stephanelli 3 row C/G Anglo concertina in black for sale. It comes with a hard case. I bought it in July 2009 from my local music shop who had bought it from Steve Clinksale in Kelso, Scotland. I have tried to learn this instrument, but now play the harmonica and mandolin instead. It’s not been used that much. I will include ‘The Anglo Concertina Demystified’ ( by Bertram Levy) which comes with two CD's which I did find very useful. I have put a few pencil marks in the book to aid my learning otherwise it is in very good condition. It’s a really great beginner’s concertina to see if you want to play it. I paid £176 for the concertina and the book/cd was about £20. I am looking for £90 for the whole package – concertina, hard case, book and the two accompanying CD’s – everything there to get yourself started! . I can send images of the concertina and the carrying case if anyone is interested. I am afraid that I will only post within the UK. Payment to be cleared before posting. Many Thanks

  3. I have a Stephanelli C/G 30 note concertina. I have a question which occurs in other songs I am sure. Using Bertram Levy's bookand looking at Tommy Don't Go page 28 - bar 19 I assume you hold the F note for three counts - for notes A D and C even though you draw for the C (R6)? Hope this makes sense thanks
  4. I live in The north east of england and was wondering what would be an upgrade from my stephanelli c/g 30 button concertina ..I have not got enough out of this one yet but was just interested in what is available second hand in about the £250 range? I am interested in a sweet soft sound easy bellow action - i guess the reeds are important -but i am more intersted in an upgrade in the sound and playability than the looks Thanking you
  5. Hi When I checked over my stephanelli c/g concertina that i have recently bought, the first key row 3 on the left should be a B ( in) and a D (out) - mine is sounding out an A instead of a D - checked out on my tuner Also the 2nd key row 1 should be an A ( in) and a B flat ( out) - mine is sounding as a B instead of a B flat :unsure:Any suggestions?
  6. Thanks to evetryone who has answered my question on learning a tune - I have sat and practiced over and over again Constant Billy with the right hand only, combining listening to the tune, learning the pattern in my head and looking at the dots - i left the tune and concertina for about a week or two - loads of stuff to do like paint fences - then picked it up last night and on hearing the tune again on the cd could automatically play the tune - iwas really chuffed - now i have to incorporate the left hand so that will be a simi;ar process until your muscle memory picks it up - its difficult to explain how you can just play it - that was a real buzz so thanks again !!!!!!
  7. I can read music and have just started to learn the 3 row anglo concertina. Using the excellent Bertrand Levy concertina tutor plus CD I have begun to learn Twinkle Twinkle Littlw Star and now Constant Billy. However the way I am learnin is by remembering the pattern/tab in my head - like 6in 8in 7 in 7out 6i for the first bar of Constant billy - is this a good idea or should I right from the start take more time and learn the notes saying the notes each time I press the button and learn both the pattern and the notes at the same time ?
