Hi, another question for the experts. What are the metal buttons on an old jeffries made of and also what are the reed tongues made from (would i be right in thinking spring steel) I'll leave it up to you guys.

I'm the man in Ireland that he got it from. I had tuned it to C sharp/ g sharp because i wanted it to play myself but had to sell it unfortunately. nice instrument.

Hi, this is a problem i've come across recently but are there many people out there that can replace a broken reed tongue with out replacing the whole reed? I don't know how many people have this trouble? I'm in Ireland and i don't know of anyone here????? Any thought?

Hi, i'm just throwing it out there because i'm curious, How many people have made they're own concertina and how did they turn out in the end? Either with old reeds or bits of other concertinas or from scratch.

Just wondering what was traditonally used to varnish/finish say an ebony or amboyna ended concertina? Any help would be great? thanks ofearghail7
