  1. its not really a talent...its quantity over quality..the acid test will be if anyone decides to play it. Thanks. And that is just the default setting..haven't explored those settings yet.
  2. Some tunes what I wrote. Its all melnets fault. lol! A Lady Of Our Time http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/imbored22001/LOTtunewltz.jpg Next is Lady D's Jig (which conforms to criteria) http://www.onmvoice.com/play.php?a=14915 Then I tried a 4/4 tune.... Promenade the pier http://www.onmvoice.com/play.php?a=14914 Then my fave result A minor idea (a minor suprise) http://www.onmvoice.com/play.php?a=14916 All comments welcome.
  3. I made the mistake of thinking the concertina was a small version of a Melodeon (Diatonic accordion). Have you given one of those a try? I flit between that on anglo concertina...stops me getting too fustrated with one instrument. *ducks and hides for mentioning melodeons on a concertina forum*
  4. Sounds like it aught to be a line from a song. lol!
  5. Well I had a go at it...but I'm really struggling with the last bit and seemed to make more mistakes in front of the camera and didn't have time for more than a handfull of attempts. (for anyone watching recent series of lark rise it was in episode 3..thanks to steve for transcribing it for me....even with a cold)
  6. See you there Chris....cheltenham not Gloucester Road.
  7. Your ruling is what counts Humph...I mean Chris. It was a bold move but I think Simon has gazumped us all.
  8. Victoria (well she was a queen)
  9. Orb overrules King george then
  10. You have to flip a coin to decide. I call Tails.
  11. Already been played so under the king George variation it puts you in nidd
  12. Essex Extraordinary Diversion - oh yes good - that then leaves me with - Ongar. (Inclusion of historical stations is permitted by King George updated variation (amended)) Stratford
  13. Don't you mean Upminster ? That's what I said. Are you going to make another move or not?
  14. Oy! Perilously close! I don't normally like to play this one so early but needs must, I suppose. I will declare the Essex Extraordinary Diversion now in operation, so.... Hainault (via Newbury Park) Well if you're gonna be like that....Upminster
  15. I'm afraid Chris I've just had a text from Samantha, you'll have to get Sven in as she's been invited on a last minute trip to the US to see some old Gysers. Regents Street
  16. My tune, my choice, of course. Well, to be honest, folks, I prefer the tune the way I originally wrote it - that's why I wrote it that way. I would be curious too? Alan D, where are you? I went to see John Kirkpatrick performing in London last saturday evening and I gave him a copy of the tune to see what he could make of it. He said he'd let me know next time I see him, which could be next year! Unfortunately, I don't think he's a C.net poster. I am sure he'd make a jolly good job of it and really bring it to life. Chris Well I've sent Chris my 'Les Dawson-esque' Version. lol! Might take a little more practice before I'll post it here.
  17. Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus...its a nice tune. Had a go at it on Melodeon . I am gonna try properly on concertina later.
  18. I'm going, bringing My concertina and melodeon....oh and some chocolate and crisps anything unhealthy. lol! Also bringing my camera.
  19. Here is an attempt at oscar woods jig on anglo concertina http://www.onmvoice.com/play.php?a=13193
  20. I thought it was awesome! Quit beating up on yourself! How many people can make music on a concertina eh! Farion Bravisimo! It takes a lot of guts to put that out there. You're ahead of the class! Over the Rainbow is a classic and you're well on the way to a top-notch performance. Keep playing it. The other two I don't know at all - but you sounded good to me. Thank you.
  21. found the proper page http://www.janeausten.co.uk/festival/index.ihtml Friday 17th to Saturday 25th September
  22. I find I can't 'design' without some 'background' music....although not techno in my case.
