  2. You should try Mairead Hurley She's great! 0448 154 416 hurley.mairead@gmail.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k68EExhy-3c Dave
  3. How was the singing? Was there much Old salvation Army repertoire? It would be a fascinating area to looking into… the songs and pieces of the Sally's concertina playing…. A picture of her ('in full uniform') with her concertina would have been great also. Dave
  4. The bigger G/D concertina is not new… My Crabb G/D was a larger than normal anglo. Made in 1987, it was a special model that Neville and Geoff Crabb made, being slightly larger than standard at 6.75 inches across the flats. This was done to overcome the crowded action and to improve the response of the low G. It is a lovely instrument. No where near as ornate as the Wakker A6 though. Dave
  5. Very beautiful. Do you have any video clips of it being played? Dave
  6. Very interesting… I saw something similar in a video on an old concertina factory…. Available as a down load on the internet…. Not sure where that was again…. Dave
  7. Hi Chris…. Dad just found the paper on which he wrote down the books details… "Wonderful London - a book of photos". Edited by StJohn Adcock, published about 1924 I tended to agree with you about the date by the car in the background… until now. I wonder what kind of car it is? Not being an expert on 1920 cars myself … Dave
  8. Ha.. yeah… looks like she is carrying the Concertina case…. D
  9. Sounds like a job for the Moderator! Topic moved. Ken Thanx!
  10. Sorry, put this under the buy and sell topic and can't seem to figure how to change it to the Concertina history topic. Dave
  11. My Dad found this picture in his Garage which is full of old books. It was part of a page of London street performers. We only have one page which has some interesting photo's and commentary. Due to damage, the page was the only remnant of the book that was saved, so I can't check copyright or source. Dave Dad just found the piece of paper he had written the book details on… "Wonderful London - a book of photos". Edited by StJohn Adcock, published about 1924
