Here is the Index. It comes with a "digital booklet" that you read as webpages. Looks like it was originally a CD/ROM that was loaded into a zip file. Photos, info, lots of good stuff!
Yes, it was originally a CD-ROM format and I would like to inform you that it has been republished as a book last year.

I generally agree with the above view, but I think the quality of the bellows would be fine for German.
Anyway, I look forward to hearing more details.

I think it's not a JEDcertina. Because according to the label it was not made by Lachenal for John E Dallas.
By the way, the case label says Campbell's Nonpareil but I don't think it matches the concertina. I own one of the Campbell's Nonpareils and it is 20 key German-style concertina with thumb operating levers.

The nearest I could find was
Just for size and fretwork comparison. Mine in the video clip is said to be Jones. It has riveted action and 10 bone buttons instead of 12.

I play Irish music in a melodic style, but I don't note down finger numbers. Basically, I place my fingers in the C row and use the G row and accidental row as needed. However, this depends on the player's playing style; for example, according to a recent book by Dan Worrall and James Branch, the late Chris Droney basically played in the G row.

Maybe this one ?

I heard that Swan and Wren by McNeela Music are good choice, they are not very expensive but sounds great.

Michael, according to your profile, your website is McNeela music. If this profile is true, I suppose this thread is not for advertising your own products.

One from 1:05:40 looks like 7 mount (smaller model?) to me.
By the way I cannot find the 4th player (resulted in the 1st position in the competition) playing in the video. I only see him leaving the stage near 38:20.
Am I missing something?

I learnt this tune over two decades ago, but I don't know the title. Could someone please enlighten me on this?

I have no idea if mine is a good/ excellent/ mediocre instrument
By the way, I too own Connor with salvaged Lachenal reeds. It is not so fast/responsive but bellows and mechanisms are reliable. And I like the mellow tone of typical Lachenal, so overall I like mine.

Somewhat off topic but...
In the Kevin Costello's website
http://www.concertinatuningrepair.com/about.html
It says
QuoteHe currently works with Ralf Schlimm of 7 Mount Concertinas in the construction of new concertinas for the Irish market.
So I am not sure to what extent Ralf focuses on the German market.

I was a member of the forum pre-2003 so it was a natural migration.
I believe that the old (pre-2003) concertina.net was easily found by searching the Internet at that time.- 2

If you have the ABC use something like Anahata'a free ABC music viewer ... doesn't transpose but it's a handy tool nonetheless
If you are familiar with abc notation, Michael Eskin's abctools has transpose feature.

Does anyone sell a decent neck-strap for concertinas?
ConcertinaConnection used to sell them.

You can ask if they still stock it, or you may be able to make your own. -
The book "The Anglo Concertina Handbook of tunes and methods For Irish Traditional Music" written by Frank Edgley in 2001 has several pages devoted to ornaments (he called embellishments). It may be of interest to you.

If I remember correctly, the early Lachenal anglo had slightly larger diameter bone buttons, is there any reference to that anywhere? (actual diameter and serial number of the change point)

Certainly, 63990 would be 1880, 163990 would be 1898.
Thank you Stephen as always. The owner confirmed that there is not a leading 1, so it was 63990.

Can I have an year estimate of anglo number (1)63990 ?
It's not mine but currently in Japan. Rosewood ends, 30+2novelty bone buttons, C/G, steel reeds and 6 fold bellows.
I am not sure there is leading 1 to 63990.
Thank you in advance.

Personally, I think it is far more versatile than the 20 button, although there are still tunes you can't play (because it lacks low A and low C#, for example). The lack of a reverse G/A button may be inconvenient.
I own a C/G(Lachenal) and a Bflat/F(Duckling), both lightweight.

This was a coincidence, but the tune came on yesterday while I was shuffling through Amazon Music and made an impression on me. I remembered Seán Keane playing it, so it was easy to find.

If Jeffries, draw C# on 1st button and push C# on 2nd button will be needed, I suppose.
