It has been said that old (antique?) clock springs can be a suitable source of material for Concertina reeds but I have no experience whatsoever in the matter. I tried clock springs steel but it is too soft (from my experience)

This concertina on ebay http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...me=STRK:MEWA:IT is given with the number 8875 If we look at different formulas to calculate the date of fabrication we found between 1953 and 1969 Is it possible that this number is OK? Gerard

Concertina Diagrams

I am looking for informations about the structure of anglo concertinas (chamber sizes, lever mechanism...) If anyone had this kind of information (diagrams or photos) I would be very interested to get it. Thank you for any help
