Seriously started my musical journey about 5 years ago. Before that as a student in the 70's I played tin whistle a bit and hung around folk clubs a lot.

Piano and portable harmonium led me into free reed instruments. Restoring an old flutina got me close to where I was heading, discovering the world of concertinas and this web site got me into a process of choosing. I took my time and opted for English concertina. Bought a very nice Lachenal from Chris A, and followed that up with a Wheatstone model 21 a year later which I spent a few months restoring.

Weekly lessons have helped me up the learning curve and a couple of friendly local sessions allow me to inflict my latest learnings on others.

Unlike my forays into clarinet, guitar and a couple of others, I've found my musical niche with EC and feel bereft if a day goes by when I cannot play and practice.
