Do it all the time!

I think, at least in ITM it could be a choice of style and tradition. Sounding like some of the earlier masters (especially East Clare) BTW there are also many great tunes in some minor/modal keys that work well too. I am on the search for a 20B Jeffries to explore deeper into this realm.

Hi All. I'm just back from the Catskills Irish Arts Week CIAW. Mary gave a lecture on her book about East Clare Musicians. The book is called "Sunday at Lena's- Memories and Tune Collection" If you are into the East Clare style this is a must have. I am pretty sure the book is nearly sold out but if you contact her through her website (http://www.marymacnamara.net) she may have a few left at home in Tulla. She asked me to participate and I had a ball! We ended the program with a set of Joe Bane/ Bill Malley Polkas. They're in the book! I'm playing with Mary, her daughter Sorcha Costello, Willy and Siobhan Kelly, and Patrick Ourceau. Enjoy. https://www.facebook.com/100002070060724/videos/pcb.6419055988173340/981071483142859

What can I say.😁

Mark, the photos you have should go with the collection. Thanks for sharing.

Someone NEEDS to buy these and keep them together. Someone's collection NEEDS these. Maybe someone can buy them and then donate them to some museum. https://concertina.co.uk/stock-selection/other-concertinas/collection-of-strange-and-unique-miniature-concertinas/

There are a ton of tunes that work fine on the 20B even in ITM. many keys can be approached and tunes can be twisted to fit(much like a single row melodeon. Check out the playing of Bobby Gardiner William Kimber was a fine example of some great 20B playing(although later I believe he went to a 30B) In playing for Morris dancing I think he used the left hand more as a percussion instrument and was less concerned with the actual harmonies. Still great playing.
