Professor of Political Science, State University of New York at Albany. Began playing music at age 47 but never found an instrument with which I was compatible until I discovered the English concertina in my mid-60s. I bought my first instrument from Paul Groff -- a middle range Lachenal which I later supplemented with a 12-sided Crabb purchased from Paul. Finally, an Aeola from the Button Box. I am not a talented player, but I am fascinated with the intruments pedigree and genealogy and its capacity to do what I wish. It is now my sole (soul) instrument. Currently living most of the year in Georgetown Maine for half the year and Topsham Maine for other half.
