  11. I 'll post this again: http://www.accordinas.com/index.php?lg=1&rbq=3 Accordina, stainless steel reeds and construction, they may have some advice.
  12. There may be answers here: http://www.accordinas.com/index.php?lg=1&rbq=3 for moisture resistance. What would 3 rows of 15 buttons give you with a Hayden/Wikki layout give you?
  13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=concertina&LH_PrefLoc=2&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684 A search on UK ebay of completed sales sorted highest first, those in green are sales. It seems to me prices have dropped £500-1000.
  14. I would have thought it more likely to be a rise in humidity, a result in the drop in temperature, causing the wool in the bushings to swell. Bushings can be compressed a little with a tapered pen (Parker biro) and check for verdigree on buttons.
  15. See this thread: http://www.concertina.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=17298
  16. Cool! I never heard this done as a jig before. As an aside - I used to be musician for a Morris group that danced Ilmington. Well, I wasn't playing it as a jig, that is just the dance title. It may have lost it's step hop from not playing for morris for 15+ years.
  17. https://soundcloud.com/gcolli/lively-jig-ilmington-or-wonder The Lively Jig (Ilmington) or the Wonder hornpipe. My 1st school was in Ilmington.
  18. One hour later. I played along with Jim's in G version and found the tune is all there on the right hand. It would have been easier if I'd transposed it. Many, many takes later, with same G/D, Wheatstone layout: https://soundcloud.com/gcolli/da-slockit-light-in-g-on-g-d
  19. I think there no choice but D for me, a tune I've played in sessions but never looked at music till now. https://soundcloud.com/gcolli/da-slockit-light-by-tom
  20. Another recording with the Soundcloud app: https://soundcloud.com/gcolli/blenheim-house-at-recorded-for I found this browsing through Hardcore English, and knew I had heard it lots.
  21. I have just tried out recording with the Soundcloud android app: https://soundcloud.com/gcolli/harliquin-air-at-recorded-for
