Thanks Wes, it has 11 bone buttons one end under Lachenal and Co and 10 bone buttons on the opposite end under the serial number of 174866. Six sides and steel reeds with 5 folds or bellows.

Thanks Wes. It’s wooden ends, 10 ivory buttons on the serial number side and 11 ivory buttons, (1 button on its own) on the Lachenal brand side. Hope this helps

Hello, I have a Lachenal and Co Concertina handed down to me by my late grandfather. I was wondering if anyone might know the approx date it was produced by the serial number on the end of the instrument. It has steel reeds and comes with original box. The serial number is 174866.
