But it did sell, and I guess it set the price. $250 then, shipping not included. If a resellers buying a concertina for 250 they will be selling it on for more so your argument for how much it should cost is contradicted by the rest of what you say. Either the price you suggest is wrong or something else you say is wrong or else everything you say is wrong and I know which one I favor.

Does the wiki reader even need to know about this and why only address this issue for hybrids? If your going to talk about preferences for tones and response on hybrids shouldnt you also talk about the same thing for mass produced concertinas and for top of the range ones and also about preferences between makers such as why some people prefer a dipper over a suttner or metal ends over wood ones. Only talking about this for one group of concertinas is surely just another demonstration of personal pregudice and at the end of the day its all subjective.

Does anybody own the jones and lachenal names? Has anybody has ever tried to make concertinas under these names after the original companys ended?

Hello everybody I've been reading this forum as a guest for a while and I thought it was about time that I join in. I've got a stagi 30 key c/g anglo and I'm ready to move on to something better. I've got about £1500 to spend and I have read about concertinas by lachenal marcus morse and others and I'm wondering what will be the best choice for me. I play some english and irish style music along with bits of pop and rock and show tunes. Thanks Virge
