  1. I have a Tedrow D/A baritone he made for me some years back. Just fabulous. I call it my “Hymn Machine” . It has a deep , sonorous voice. Well balanced, it is not as agile as my c/g tedrow, ( it’s Much bigger) but for anything slower than a fast jig, it’s great. It has held up perfectly for 10 years or so.
  2. Greetings, There is one more group that enjoys a small concertina. I am a Civil war reenactor, and I always bring a full size concertina for camp use, but on the march, I keep my wonderfully small Bob Tedrow 10 key anglo (D) in my haversack. It is very small, easy to play, and make a LOT of sound if needed, to keep up with dozens of drunken soldiers singing. I've been using it several years, and it has held up very well.
  3. Sounds like someone got up on the wrong side of the billybong this morning. Only an Aussie would have an issue with rabbits. Sorry to hear you don't want more concertina players, cobber. I suspect a lot of folks on this board think concertinas are great, and the more the merrier. Neal
  4. Greetings, This is my first post here. I am strictly an amateur musician. I play many diferent instruments,( guitar, banjo, french horn, harp, etc...) some better than others, and have only played the anglo concertina for about 2 years now; but one thing I have found in my life. More people are discouraged from learning to play an instrument by lousy instruments than for any other reason! Hard to play guitars, concertinas, etc.. make it frustrating to learn and progress slow. I have for years advised anyone who asks me about learning any instrument, BUY THE BEST ONE YOU CAN AFFORD ! At worst, you can sell it later as good stuff keeps it's value well. So I say HIP, HIP, HURRAY! for any tyro who buys a top ender. The goal, it seams to me, is to populate the world with concertina players, and anything that helps is a good thing. YMOS Neal
