About Me

English concertina is my favorite free reed instrument though I have a passion and respect for all free reed bellows drawn instruments.
I love playing my English concertina and learning both old and new/odd types of music on the English concertina. I love Irish music, anything sea shanty or forebitter/sea song related as well and classical pieces of all varieties. I admire the mechanical workings of these instruments and the impressive playing that can be done as well as the portability. I hope to one day own an authentic non-hybrid English concertina. Wakker, Wheatstone and  Lachenal are most prominent on my want list, especially with metal ends.
