  4. I have noticed a lot of new members are not indicating which city or country they live in. This is helpful if people are asking for help that could be provided by someone living nearby. I am sure when I signed up 16 years ago I was asked for my location but the current sign up form does not ask for this.

  6. LIantrisant Is where the Royal Mint (that mints coins for the U.K.) is based.
  7. As opposed to Polo, Llantrisant is known as the Hole with the Mint.

  11. I bought this concertina because it had my Christian name initial in the fretwork. I have not found out who the maker was yet. Suggestions welcome.

  14. Some interesting concertinas on e-bay this week. There is a 20 button Jones that must have solid gold reeds and levers for £3,000, A restored Edeophone English and a 20 button Tidder.
  15. I have just returned from a holiday abroad and received the sad news that David Leese passed away earlier last week. A good friend and an excellent concertina restorer. He will be sadly missed. Mike
