  1. I am selling my beautiful English Wheatstone concertina. Initially it was in bad condition when I bought it: no thumb straps, bad bellows, air leaking. I managed to ‘restore’ it myself making new thumb straps out of a belt, repairing the bellows and hence reducing the air leakage considerably, also I added new decorative papers. I had to buy finger rests too. In terms of condition, it’s in good condition: All the buttons work properly (none gets stuck or anything like that), bellows have good compression and very little or none air leaks. It’s still in good playable condition for its age (which I believe it goes back to the 1850s). The price for this one is £800 (delivery available in the UK). Message if you are interested.
  2. Hi, here I got an old Wheatstone english concertina in need of repair: Most of the hand right side buttons don’t make sound either when pushing or pulling, one makes 2 horrible sounds, some make squeaky sounds, cosmetically is not in the best condition either, thumb straps deteriorated, bellows are quite old, air leaking, not good compression. On the other hand the left hand side buttons seem to be ok. I can’t afford to repair it, so I want to sell it to buy a cheap lachenal or other concertina. Bought it second hand for £1250 10 years ago but I’d be asking £400 for it. I accept exchange for another english concertina (vintage). Message me if you are interested.

    South American tunes

Hi John I got many friends in Bolivia. I have many videos of bolivian players I can share them if you wish. Is always nice to listen to this instrument in a different culture with a different style of playing isn't it?

  5. This a black english concertina 8 sided and 56 button made by ‘GREMLIN’; its a rare one I’ve not found any like this online. Rather than selling it I’d prefer an exchange for a Wheatstone or lachenal english concertina (any model as long as its tuned) Bought this one from Italy couple of years ago and the condition is good (all buttons work and bellows are good), no important damages other than few signs of wear use. Is tuned and has a beautiful sound, not like a vintage concertina obviously but that’s why I want a lachenal or Wheatstone, so if you are a collectionist or have a spare one, I’d really appreciate a trade in. Only asking £400 if you want to buy straight away.
