  1. Thanks for the offer that's very kind of you. However, at this time I don't need it as my existing box is being modified to make my instrument a good fit.
  2. No but I noticed on the link that it said: 'Sorry, this item doesn't ship to the UK'.
  3. Just having a few idle thoughts and wondered what were the heyday years of English Concertina playing in the UK?
  4. It will be interesting to see what advice you receive....
  5. A good collection to have, it will make someone happy.
  6. Many thanks for posting this Simon. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to it (over and over again) and find your playing really inspiring.
  7. Delivered my baritone treble to Steve Dickinson yesterday, it is going to have a complete action rebuild together with reedwork overhaul & tune. Really glad I took this step as I am sure the end result will be well worth it.
  8. It does look to be in lovely condition. I am sure someone out there will be very happy with it. I am no expert at all but in my opinion, around £4000 would be a good deal for both parties concerned.
  9. Hi Wolf, The ledger states it as 81/2", so a little smaller but still not 8"...
  10. Another interesting tune and really well played. Keeps me inspired, so many thanks.
  11. Its certainly different and very pleasant to listen to. ?
  12. Thanks, I enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to hearing more tunes from you.
  13. A few photographs may help anyone who is half interested Mike....
  14. Will be taking my Aeola down to Steve Dickinson on the 10th March. He will then be able to give me an idea of the work to be done and how long I'll be without it. I will miss it whilst it's with him but I believe in the longer term it will be well worth it for both me and the Aeola.
  15. I have looked again and believe you are absolutely correct Geoff. It is 20c and is noted as a Baritone Treble. So now my question is what is the difference between a Model 20c and 16? There are many more 64 key instruments listed as Model 16 than 20c.
  16. My 64 key EC Baritone Treble is a Model 28. (serial 29447). In the Wheatstone Production Ledger there are a number of 64 key instruments that are Model 16. Can anyone tell me the difference between Models 28 and 16?
  17. Hi Billy and welcome to this forum. I haven't found anyone at all. I started with a couple of used tutor books purchased on a well known auction site. You might like to link up the with Central Scotland Concertina Group, see: http://www.concertina.org/regional-groups-with-regular-meetings/ I have been attending their monthly meetings and have found them to be helpful. I'll send you a pm (personal message)
  18. As mentioned in a previous post I am very happy with my purchase of this instrument. Although I am still in my first year of playing there are some niggling points like a number of notes slow to respond. Its such a lovely Aeola that I have decided it really should be brought back to its best as far as playability is concerned. I have contacted Steve Dickinson and discussed the matter and will give him another call the middle of next month to make arrangements to send it down. Just hope I can survive the period it is away. LOL
  19. It looks a nice case, I would think there must be a forum member who could point you in the direction of a someone capable of making a good job of it...… Hopefully!
