  1. This green as grass concertina player will attend workshop/concert in Berkeley too!
  2. Hello, I'm posting for my friend "Boney" as his Jeffries is now out of the shop and he's ready to part with his Rochelle, which also comes with a soft case. He had us do some improvements such as enlarging the air button to 5/8".... he was finding it hard to push/pull. Also the screws for the ends have been improved and he's broken in the bellows nicely. 2 sets hand straps included. He's asking $325.00 obo, plus shipping Thanks for looking, Annette www.LivingTreeMusic.com
  3. For curiosities sake...what is your asking price on this? Thanks!
  4. Beyond grateful to this forum as I was able to locate (or it found me) a restoration concertina!! Donation sent to Paul@conertina.net :-)
  5. Hello Concertina forum, I've been bitten by the concertina bug and it has me looking hi n low for a suitable specimen! Started with the idea of buying a restored vintage, to making our own ala Clover kit...however after speaking with Mr. Walker recently my direction has gone to looking at vintage concertinas that need work, but have untouched concertina reeds (Old pitch). This has led to perusing the bay and also the auctions...with no luck so far. However, I'm one for the journey so thought to post here in case someone would have something suitable for ITM n Folk music. Should add that my husband n I have a small Luthier shop and specialize in restoration of vintage instruments...a concertina would be an exciting first for us! For sound reference I'm crazy for the sound of Caitlin Nic Gabhann's concertina (Jeffries?) and yes I should be more humble in my concertina tastes but being a musician and cancer survivor has spoiled me I'm afraid. With thanks, Annette Siegel http://www.LivingTreeMusic.com
  6. This is my first post and share. Thought it might be of interest, if it hasn't already been shared! http://www.tg4.ie/en/player/home/?pid=4873168596001 Watching this inspired me to take up the concertina.
