Hello All... I am a newbie here, but have an interesting subject I think will peak your interest, or at least I hope so. I have come to own a very early (Est. 1900-1920) Paolo Soprani Woodie, described as follows: It is made entirely of wood, except for the Pearl Buttons and leather straps. On the Treble/Right side, it has a row of 9 buttons, as well as a 2nd row of 3 buttons. I believe these 3 to be "repeat notes" in reverse. The Bass/Left side has 2 buttons in front, and 1 button in the back. It has an elaborate "grill" beside the Treble buttons, with red cloth behind it. On the front, it has 3 "old-school" windows inset into the instrument, with the center one having the maker's info: Comm. Paolo Soprani & Figli, Premiata Fabbrica Armoniche, and Castelfidardo (Italia). The top window has a young man's portrait, and the bottom window has a picture of the young man playing soccer. The Bellow is intact with no visible damage or mold, and it has very good volumn when played. So far, I have not been able to find any pictures of this model, with this few buttons anywhere. If you can please look at the attached picture and pass on any info you may have, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank-you very much. Jim in Michigan.
