  1. Transposing scores can be a pain, unless you spend quite a bit of cash. There is music recognition software around. Neuratron Photoscore apparently does the job - it takes a scanned or pdf image of the score and converts it into a form which can be processed on a computer. It is intended to work with Sibelius. It is pretty expensive I think and Sibelius was more so when I last checked. Learning to transpose in your head is a lot cheaper.

There will be a workshop for English Concertina players (that's players of the English Concertina...) starting Saturday 26th January at 2:30 pm in the Dundee Central Library, Wellgate, Dundee DD1 1DB. The first meeting is free and the idea is to find out potential numbers and abilities so further meetings can be planned. The workshops are organised by the Friends of Wighton, www.friendsofwighton.com
