I need to part with my 57 button Crane Duet Wheatstone 27096. I bought it from Barleycorn in 2011 and had it overhauled by David Robertson in 2015. I am sad (and somewhat emberrassed) to say that it has not been played much since then, which is the reason why I will be selling it - it needs to be played. Badly.

The reason why I hardly play it is that I almost exclusively play dance music these days, and my two other cranes are much better suited for dance music. The Wheatstone is a great solo instrument, but for dance music, it does not have the volume and is much heavier and bulkier - yet the extended range is not beneficial for dance music. For a travel concertina it is much too valuable.

The instrument has eight sides, steel reeds, wood end plates and is in very good playing and overall condition except that (again) it is not well exercised AND has a few minor jib artefacts around the end bolts (nothing that any restorer couldn't fix easily if it disturbes you). More pictures available on request (my upload quota is at limit, and I am not a friend of cloud hosting). A sound sample can be found here:

Due to the current tariff and custom madness, I would very much prefer to sell within continental Europe including Ireland, but we can work out arrangements for oversea sales.

If you are interested, please pm me and we will set up a video conference in which I will introduce the instrument - play all notes etc - and we can also get to know each other and become assured that neither side is a scam and we can go on from there.

I am asking €2500 which includes a quality hard case (visible in the picture as well). I am not sure if I can locate the keys for the case, but these types of locks are cosmetic at best anyways. Needless to say, a donation will be made to c.net if the sale is initiated here.

	Thanks!
Jeffries 38 Button Anglo Concertina in C/G

I purchased this C. Jeffries concertina from The Button Box in August of 2020 and had it tuned and looked over at The Squeezebox Garage in March of this year. It's in very good condition. The action is tight and even. The original bellows is tight and very responsive. The reeds all sound clear and have the beautiful Jeffries sound. Beyond typical wear, the only blemish is a chip out of the ebony veneer on the bottom corner. It has the standard 38 button layout as shown in the photos. It comes with a custom fitted waterproof Pelican case. I'm selling it for $9,000 to be picked up near my home on the Boston North Shore.<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" I have owned this instrument for many years. I have too many concertinas, so it may as well go to a player who is seeking a superb instrument. Raised metal ends set in ebony frames. Standard Wheatstone Anglo Chromatic 40 key layout with a useful C# on the pull on the LHS. Perfectly in tune with a rivetted , very fast action. Steve Dickinson is a superb craftsman and made relatively few instruments. I think I am the third owner. I will only sell to somebody who has seen and played the instrument in the UK or Ireland and I would prefer not to send it through the post. It can be seen and played in the UK or Ireland. I am usually at my house in Clare every fortnight and will be moving to Westmeath permanently in October so, if not sold, it could be inspected in Clare or Westmeath. I have played since the early 1970's and have been a member of C.net for many years.PM for additional photographs and contact details . For those of you who think weight is important, it weighs 1.34 KG. A donation will of be made to C.net if the instrument is sold through this connection. Price £7000(stirling)

Just putting feelers out to see if anyone has a baritone they're looking to pass on. I have a nicer Wheatstone English treble that I play mainly in Irish sessions, dabbling in some classical, blues and jazz, but I came from playing a piano accordion and love the sound of the bassier reeds. Also, having listened to Vincent Powell's selections on youtube, I've been enamored with the tone. Probably would likely go up to $2500 if the instrument is right, looking for something a little nicer than a Jack, but have also considered those as well! I'm state-side, so preference to those also on this side of the pond.

Regondi 30 key English Concertina. Bought from McNeela in 2022. I now have a Morse, so this one is not being played, which is a crime for any instrument. Czech accordion style reeds, good response. Ideal if you fancy a foray into the world of the English concertina but don't wish to spend thousands to find out if you can figure it out or not.

I am selling a late (1960 ish) Wheatstone C/G 30 button Anglo in excellent condition. I purchased this some years ago from Theo Gibb and apparently it had hardly been played since purchase. I subsequently have just not used it enough, mainly playing a G/D and it has hardly been out in public at all hence it retains its excellent condition. It is completely original and still has its quirky box but is bright and very responsive with a clear sound. I am looking for offers in the region £2500 to £3000. I am not currently offering shipping so it is collection only. I am in Northumberland but do travel south fairly regularly. Many thanks, Mike

Looking for an Ab/Eb or C#/G# anglo concertina- been playing my C/G suttner for 12 years and I adore it so another suttner or a Jeffries would be the ideal. Anyone have any leads? I’m in Ireland so something close to home would be great!

	Hello,
Unfortunately, I no longer have time to play my concertina and would like to let someone else enjoy this beautiful instrument. I’ve barely touched the concertina over the past five years.
I am the first owner and live in a smoke-free household. The Suttner, serial number 471, has a few minor signs of wear but plays perfectly and has the beautiful sound of an ebony Suttner. The instrument is available for viewing here in Aachen, Germany.
If anyone in the U.S. is interested: I’ll be in the U.S. in October and could bring the instrument with me and ship it from there.
I’d be willing to part with my beloved concertina for €5,500 (plus shipping).

	Hi

I'm on the lookout for a C/G Marcus or Norman Anglo if anyone happens to be thinking about selling one. Or possibly a Wolverton.

I'm specifically looking for a quality hybrid, rather than a traditional reed instrument like a Lachenal.

I live in the UK near Chester. If you have an instrument I might be interested in, please message me.

This model is the top of the Lachenal range. Raised ends, 12 sided to get as close as possible to the optimum circle, 6 fold bellows (in excellent condition).

Serial # 39274 which makes it manufactured around 1900 (exact dating is not possible as Wheatstone destroyed the records when they bought the company in 1936)

Serviced and tuned by Dave Elliot in 2016. Normal signs of use.

Great sound, fast speaking and a light key action. Tuned to A=440hz

The extended treble, 56 keys, gives all the fast response of the much prized 48 key treble instrument as it’s in the same box size.

The extra 8 high notes are valuable for adding colour to chords and for accents.

The lowest G# is tuned to F to give more low note chord options.

	It's coming with a Gig-Bag and a waterproof Travel-Case.

Wheatstone Aeola with raised tortoise shell ends. Model #17 Serial Number 33234. Made in 1934. 50 keys with air release button, 6-fold original bellows, steel reeds, riveted action, original leather case. It has the standard 48 key layout with the addition of a high D#/Eb on the left and a high C#/Db on the right. It has recently been tuned and overhauled by The Button Box. A change in my financial status dictates that I can no longer afford to have more than one top of the line concertina. All reasonable offers will be considered. I'm in the Santa Cruz mountains in California if anyone wants to come by and play it. It's really a wonderful sounding instrument.
