A large number of years ago, concertina player & guitarist Bill Price produced a great album of Yorkshire songs - Fine Old Yorkshire Gentleman.
Sadly, the LP is no longer available.

I've hunted high and low at home and can't find my copy of the album (presumed lost now - I believe I lent it out years ago and never got it back).

I've been wanting to learn the title song off this album for some years, and try as a I may, I cant find the lyrics to Bill's variant of the song anywhere on the Web .

Does any forum member perhaps have a copy of this album:

1) would you be prepared to sell me it
2) if not, maybe provide a scanned copy of the lyrics to the songs on the album

I recall there were some other great songs on this album too.

Please PM me with details.
Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

If all else fails, maybe you could contact Ruth Price; Bill's daughter.

http://www.ruthprice.com/

I've not met Ruth, but was in contact with her, last year, as I had a recording of Bill, from CSH Easter 1980, just a few months before his sudden death.

Regards,
Peter.

Leo & Peter

Thanks for the responses - yes this is the album.
£40 (inc P&P) is a bit pricey tho IMO.
