I happened to be searching for something, and found a link to this site:

Looks like it might be a useful "free" resource for those who play Classical music.

Looks like it could be handy; they seem to offer a lot of stuff, although browsing wasn't that easy on first inspection. OK if you know what you want?
I did notice '17c English folk songs' as a category of music available, too, Peter. (would that be Playford?)

No; I got "conned" by that one! It would have been "Dance Tunes" ....... no, all we get is "Pop Goes the Weasel".

Did they have pawnbrokers and all the rest of it pre-industrial revolution?
(editted to add that there is a lot of Scandinavian folk music on Mutopia, for some reason; can't tell you more, not my thing really.)
