Ged plays a G/D Jeffries, which can be clearly heard over the other instruments. There is an interesting comparison on the other clip, where Ged is dancing, and Colin Endean is playing melodeon - you can hardly hear the music above the Morris bells.

Excellent! I've never understood why les Anglais are so scorniful of Morris Dancing, it's just brilliant!

When the Scots, Irish and Welsh are so proud of their traditions, and I guess most European countries too, most English people either ridicule our traditions, or seem embarrassed to acknowledge that we have any.

Outside the pub, the proverbial audience of two men and a dog, whilst inside the joyful enquiry of "Which one's Morris?" from one of the regulars, safe in the knowledge that his quiet evening, spent watching the television or listening to recorded music, is only going to be ruined for that one evening in the year ...... no wonder I want to leave!

Some of us play for our own amusement and satisfaction and don't give a damn what other people think of it !
