For lovers of Scottish music do not miss the concerts on BBC Alba on Friday Night .There was a wonderful concert on this evening.Blazing fiddles last week.

PS - Reminds me that on the 1991 Census, I had to tick a box as to whether or not I spoke Gaelic. In NE Scotland, it is less common than in other parts.

Can't remember, but I would have had to tick "No" for that one as well!

I had not been at the factory more than a couple of weeks when, one evening in the pub, it became obvious that another new arrival, a native of SW Scotland, was having at least as much trouble with the local dialect as I was. Still; I had an advantage, since I'd been an infrequent visitor for 11 years!
