I prefer to play each button with a seperate finger, and only occassionally use one finger for two buttons that are spaced a fifth apart.
my reasoning is this:if Iwant to play for example,a Cmajor arpeggio in root position on the left hand side CEG,and hold each note and add the third e,and after it the fifth g,to the original root note C,to produce a legato chord,I cannot do it if I am holding the C and the G with one finger.[becauseIhave to lift off a finger thus my legato effect is destroyed]
it is a limiting technique, and I advise all beginners to ignore videos that tell you to use the technique,of holding notes that are a fifth apart, with the same finger.
I do it occasionally ,but I advise beginners to also learn the technique of playing an arpeggio legato each finger, holding a seperate button
