That looks to me like a Stagi EC that she's playing. She plays it with some real expression.

JFYI , according to the description, title of the tune in first clip (and 2nd tune in 2nd clip) is Click to view attachment which means 'lullaby' in English. It is their original tune. First tune in the second clip is titled as 'waltz'.

I've seen previous videos of these guys (undoubtedly through Leo's posts) and been impressed, not just with the concertina playing but with the sensitive guitar work as well.

Can anybody tell me what song he's singing in the middle section of this one? (starting about 4 minutes in, after he drinks a sip of water):

It sounds so familiar, but I can't place it. And, for extra points, is it an actual translation of the English original or a Japanese lyric set to a familiar Western idiom?

I can't think of a title but it reminds me of a song Vin Garbutt sang, not an identical tune but similar.

And, it vaguely reminds me in parts of 'a little bitty tear let me down' sung by Burl Ives.

Probably it will turn out to be neither. wink.gif

Yeah, there's lots of things it reminds me of: The Frozen Logger, Arlo Guthrie's "Mother the Queen of my Heart," etc...

But I can't help thinking there's something more specific.

I do not know much about this song, so just googled:

Song name is "Brother Ken".
Lyric by Katsumi Sugawara (Japanese poet, 1911-1988)
Music by Wataru Takada (Japanese singer, 1949-2005)
