Has anyone spotted this already?

Polunin: Blue Canari

It's a sort of Italian song with performance of the Russian clowns Polunin.
The concertinas are of cardboard, but what instruments are played on the sound track?

Nice one!
Yes, we've talked about it.
It's not italian, it's American song about poor canary, who is sick in the mines. But it's not authentic, some pop from the 50s.
I'm not even sure Italian words make sence, anybody Italian here? Can you verify?
Played, obviously, on the dry tuned Bayan.
Russian version is the best so far. I guess it's because of fake Italian accent.
Instruments are real, not of cardboard, but without the innards and with no buttons.
They do have another number, where a Clown plays various cardboard instruments, unfolding them as needed - stupendous number, simple and ingenious. The music, as always with Polunin, is incredible. Check Licedei, or Litsedei, or copy and paste this:
Лицедеи, may be you'll find that number.

Yes. they are incredible. If you read the YouTube comments, even Italians can't make out the lyrics entirely. I've taken the liberty of making a little concertina/piano arrangement. Tell me what you think.

Well, I think your first draft is excellent! Truly captrued the Russian approach.
But the jazzy part, to my opinion, needs some work. The funny moment in the Russian verison is the total capture of American Swing from the 40s. Unexpected! It adds so much to the feel! I felt like the harmony you were using wasn't from the key, no? Did you experiment? I think it should be just straight forward Big Band Swing part. The last part is stupendous. You could make a living playing heartfelt Retro in Russia, easy.
You may have missed your true Destination. People would fall weeping left and right.
But so far, your attempt is, probably the best of all I have seen (two so far).

An Italian here !
The melody sounds like italian but I never heard this song. About the words: I can understand some italian words in the text for sure.
Ciao
