Hi!
I've been playing (or lack thereof) for the past 6 months. I seem to have hit a wall with my playing and i was wondering if there was perhapse a willing teacher in the long island area in new york.
I have a rochelle anglo from the button box smile.gif. I've been practicing with the wim wakker concertina instructional book, but i've been having a hard time teaching myself to read music and an instrument at the same time.
If there are no teachers willing in the area, maybe someone can point me to a DVD i should try. I need visual cues on how to do certain things.
anyway, i'm really hoping to hear soon, i enjoy this instrument alot.
Thanks!
Dirge

If a 'box tutor doesn't come forward what about going to someone who normally teaches another instrument and having a chat with them; it sounds like quite a bit of what you need could be taught by anyone with musical expertise, even down to criticising how you are playing the latest piece, but in any case get the general basics taught professionally then learn where the notes are for yourself.
