Does anybody uses Capella scanning software?
I'm using (amateurishly) Finale Notepad (free) and it's OK, but I never got to sit down and learn to use it properly.
Someone suggested Capella, and looks like in addition to clever scripting, capella has scanning ability.
Wow! So I can scan it in, produce MIDI to listen to, and if liked, created a score to learn from, move notes about, wrap high notes that I don't have or omit and transpose low notes etc. I can move it up and donw the keys to fit my instrument.
Is it as good as it sounds?

Well, more or less. I donīt know how developed it is at the moment but I used frequently. Itīs got itīs advantages: good printing quality (we used it as well for the orchestra I played in) and many different options you mentioned.
Last time I used it I hated itīs quite complex way of getting the information needed. Yes, you can have different systems, transpose them into anything you want, add song texts and so on but for me it was an awful lot of work to get a proper result.
I once bought a licence for it and prolonged that as well but I think itīs not one of the cheapest to use...

Greetings
Christian
