I find myself unexpectedly working in Gothenburg for a couple of weeks including this holiday weekend.

I know there are concertina players in Sweden because of the SSI.
Can anyone tell me if there are places I should visit. Concertina-related would be great but anything in the folk music line would be appreciated. Unfortunately I'm travelling without instruments.

Thanks for your help and advice.

Don't know if this site will help you http://www.rfod.se/folklink/index.asp?lang...oncert-festival

gives you festivals , but other pages might lead to something in or around Gothenburg. If you can manage to understand it.

There's a pace in Gothenburg called Folketshus which has swedish folkdans I'll see if I can find a link to their website.

I am 130 km North of Gothenburg

Here's the place, but it's only open on Friday evenings. http://www.folkmusikkafeet.net/
They should know some other places you could visit.
Most people have gone to Ransäter this coming weekend. http://www.ransatersstamman.nu/
