Hello my friends,

A brief history, I play bagpipes and also small pipes. The pipes are in the key of A. I rented a G/D anglo from the button box (Great people!!) Anywho, I have been learning tunes using the D row (Closest to me??) Really having a blast.

So I bought this 30 key from a forumite and its supposed to be a G/C however using the first row of buttons closest to me it tunes perfectly and plays perfectly with our pipes. I can even play the same tunes I learned on the 20 key G/d. I use all the same buttons. Anyone care to try and explain this to an old bagpiper how this can be? Im really loving this 30 key, could it be a G/d?

Love ya wink.gif

EDITED,

I just played the buttons on the first row of both (Son played one) and they are exactly the same,,, could it be?? A 30 button G/D Anglo??

Its a pre Stagi Bastari. The first row of keys are totally in tune with the 20 button G/D I rented so it must be. The fellow that sold it to me said it was a G/C but aparently not. Anthing else I can check to determine if it is in fact a G/D?

Check the other row on the 20-button against the middle row on the 30-button. They should also match. I'd be very surprised if they don't.
