The Tour was divided into several legs, which allowed me to make a few changes in the instrument during the tour.

A little viewing question here:

Please let me know if the files are readable. On my computer, the files appear in windows explorer along with a little box in the lower RH corner of the image that allows me to zoom in on the image.

Does everyone else's web browser work that way?

They are readable in my browser.

MS "Windows Explorer" usually means the application that lets you view the file structure on your drives/network. Unless MS has recently changed the terminology (not impossible) the internet browser is known as "Internet Explorer". I suspect you mean the latter.

I have an older version of MS Internet Explorer (IE5), which doesn't have the zoom option, so I have to scroll to see the full images.

But the images are JPEGs, so if I really want to be able to zoom on them, I can always download them and then view them using another program which does have zoom capabilities (e.g., MS Photo Editor).

When I click on one of your links a new Netscape browser window opens with the jpg in it already at full size. I've never seen any zoom capability in Netscape. Is there one? I can scroll around to see the whole image or maximize the window which lets me see most of the whole image at once. It seems to me that you can resample them to be about half the size and you'll still be able to read everything just fine.

If you "edit" (basically open and resave) them in MS Photo Editor, you can independently control image dimensions and resolution (file size).

I am so impressed with your dedication to producing a quality instrument in the mid=priced range. Speaking from the vantage point of a small, service oriented business owner, you have set a wonderful example of how to make the customer count in your product development and marketing. You are doing a great job, and I can only say WELL DONE! After this kind of feedback, I am extremely excited about seeing the next generation of the Tedrow Concertina.

I think Malcolm Clapp might have one at the moment...

Yes, I do have a Tedrow hexagonal 30 C/G, about 2 years old, and for sale.
If not sold beforehand, it will be at the National Folk Festival in Canberra at Easter.
If you are there, find me and have a play....

In Australia? Compared to the Mars rovers, it hasn't even left the back porch, yet.

...I'll bet business would really pick up if we could get somebody to play a concertina on the Space Station.

ok, back to the tour.

After completing the first leg of the tour, I called the touring concertina off the road for an evaluation of the instrument and the log book. After reading the comments, I decided to reset all the reeds to cut down the volume and to improve reed response at low volumes.

To gain a little objectivity, I removed the old log book and replaced it with a new one. The idea is to compare the general comments with the first log to see if my efforts at manipulating the tone, timbre and action of the concertina are reflected in the notes from the "tourists"

I think you will note the difference as well as I.
