I replied to one post. Then I replied to another post in the same Topic/thread, but when I posted the reply, the two replies appeared in the Topic as a single post. How can that be?
I know that I had successfully posted the first reply before composing the second reply, because I could see it displayed as the "last" post in the Topic as I was proofreading my second reply. I know that I wasn't mistakenly replying to my own first reply, because then I would be able to see both my first reply all by itself and the combined reply. But there's only the one, combined post. Besides, the second reply was to a different post (with a different author) than the first, and the quotes from both the distinct original posts are included in the combined reply. (I can combine replies like that deliberately, but it takes extra, special manipulation, which I definitely did not do in this case. Besides, if I did that after the first reply was actually posted, the result would appear with a notice that it had been edited. But no such notice.)
I'm very curious as to how this could have happened.
